This small stone, carved more than 12,000 years ago,  is one of the most amazing works of art I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

First, it is an “Opal” (it is NOT “Fire Agate”, it is an “Opal”), it is also an ancient Clovis carving of a human skull looking into a death mask (see image #).

What is extra ordinary about this stone carving is the fact that it has been hollowed out and carved on the “inside” of the stone so that the carvings can only be seen after being highly polished (the process of which took me more than a week to accomplish). The stone is “Opalized Agate” (a true gem), It is difficult to know where to begin when describing the artwork carved within this small but amazing peace. The best description I can give describing it is that it resembles the visions in a dream.
