Here we have a fossilized shark tooth with a small amount of petrified bone still intact. It was also used as an ancient spear tip by a group member of the Clovis Indians some !3,000 years ago.
This fossil was discovered in Newberry Springs California.
This fossil is obviously a remnants of a prehistoric past at which time the high desert community of Newberry Springs California was under prehistoric ocean waters.
Because the prehistoric ocean that once existed were Newberry Springs is today, was not connected to any other ocean, the animals that lived in this ocean were unique and indigenous, living only in this ocean and no other, it is almost impossible to identify the exact species of shark this tooth is from, however, is very similar to that of a Great White or Megalodon.
All three fossils are in excellent condition and would be a nice addition to any collection.
This fossil would be an excellent addition to any collection or would be an excellent piece to make jewelry (such as a necklace).
